Meet your Realtor! Just a few lines about who I am and how I came to be working in real estate in Baja! Born in Ottawa, Canada, married to a Mexican civil engineer and builder. B.A., B.Ed., and M. Ed. Taught in northern Nigeria (Sahara desert) in the ’80’s as a CUSO volunteer (Cdn. equivalent to the Peace Corps). Loved it and decided on international development as a career. Spent 25 years working for the UN, CARE, and Plan International and of them, 17 yrs living and working in Africa and Latin America. Ran large humanitarian programs working with poor communities and African and Latin American governments on child rights’ issues. Returned to Canada in 2006 and became a licensed realtor. Eventually retired as CEO of Canadian Lung Association. Still own a number of rental properties in Canada and Mexico and have successfully generated a good ROI in each. Moved to Mexico City in 2012 and on to La Paz in 2015 where I joined Diamante Realtors as a licensed agent. I continue to invest privately in Baja property. I know the ins and outs of investing in Mexican real estate and am happy to help you find an amazing property for full or part time living, or investment. I have sold over 80 properties – 17 million USD. And I KNOW about relocating, having moved kids and family to over 6 European, African and Latin American countries. I speak English, Spanish and passable French. Welcome to Baja!
